YORKSHIRE REGIONAL CHAMPIONS!
During the weekend of 4th - 5th March 2017 Huddersfield town hall was the venue for the Yorkshire Regional Brass Band Championships and 58 bands competed, in their various sections, to qualify for the National Championships on the 16th - 17th September in Cheltenham. The top two bands in each section qualified for the finals.
On Saturday 4th March, after weeks of rehearsals, Huddersfield & Ripponden Brass saved their best performance for the contest stage and triumphed in their home town. A superb performance clinched 1st place, and qualification for the finals, for the first time in 20 years.
